Mark A. Taylor, B.A., LL.B

Mark Taylor grew up in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Philosophy from Saint Mary's University in 1984, and graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 1987.


Mark has been practicing law in Bridgewater since 1988. His preferred areas of practice include real estate, land title migrations, wills, powers of attorney, and probate. Mark has been qualified as an expert in title matters to give evidence in the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia.


Over the years Mark has volunteered with community organizations including Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Bridgewater Minor Hockey Association, and the Lahave River Yacht Club. 


Mark has a life long passion for rugby and has always been actively involved in sport and athletics. He has coached both minor hockey in Bridgewater and rugby for Parkview Education Centre. He enjoys golf, weight training, and boating.

Brent H. Silver, B.A., LL.B.

Brent Silver grew up in North Brookfield, Queens County, Nova Scotia. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Sociology with a Certificate in Criminology from Saint Mary's University in 1989, and graduated from Dalhousie Law School in 1992.


Brent began his legal career in Newfoundland and in 1994 returned home to practice law in Bridgewater. His preferred areas of practice include real estate, land title migrations, estate planning, probate, and civil litigation. In addition to his work at Taylor and Silver, Brent has also been a Small Claims Court Adjudicator since 2004.


Brent's volunteer and Board experience includes being both Vice Chair and Chair of the Nova Scotia Primary Forest Products Marketing Board. He is currently a Director and Chair of the Research and Science Committee for the LaHave River Salmon Association. He has coached minor hockey, club basketball, and high school basketball.


Having grown up on the South Shore, Brent is passionate about forestry and spends much of his free time working on his family Christmas tree farm and with his portable saw mill.
